2021 Toyota Tacoma Full Pricing And Options Revealed: Here’s How Much More It Costs

Pricing isn't drastically higher than the 2020 models

Hot on the heels of official figures for the 2021 Toyota Tundra and 4Runner, we finally have pricing for the 2021 Toyota Tacoma as well. Fortunately, the news here largely echoes those two. Pricing on the base Tacoma SR Access Cab goes up by $100, while more expensive models like the TRD Pro move by about $115. Pricing listed in the chart below does not include Toyota’s additional $1,175 destination fee, so take that into account when considering your options.

The 2021 Toyota Tacoma will carry forward the same trims as the 2020, with a few additions. The SR, SR5, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited and TRD Pro remain. However, the new Trail Edition (below, left) also joins the lineup, as does the blacked out Nightshade Edition (below, right).

Opt for the Tacoma Trail Edition, and pricing starts at $35,180 (including destination) for the 4×2 model. The Tacoma Trail 4×4 starts off at $38,155. The Tacoma Nightshade is a touch more expensive, starting at $40,180 for the 4×2 and $44,155 for the 4×4 version. Both these models come with the larger, 278 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. The smaller 2.7-liter, 159 horsepower unit looks like it’s sticking around, and accounts for the cheaper entry points into the SR and SR5 trims.

A new color for the Tacoma TRD Pro

As is tradition with every new year of the TRD Pro, Army Green is retiring from the lineup. The 2021 Toyota Tacoma gets Lunar Rock as its bespoke color. We’ve seen that already on the Toyota RAV4 Adventure, among others. While it’s a bit less unique in Toyota’s lineup it does offer some more synergy between the Tacoma and the rest of the brand.

Other changes for the 2021 Toyota Tacoma lineup adds more standard equipment on V6 models. All V6 trucks now get dual zone automatic climate control. TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road models get upgraded audio systems, while SR5 and higher models are also equipped with a first-aid kit. All new Tacoma models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense-P, a safety suite that includes features like a pre-collision avoidance system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert and automatic high beams.

The 2021 Toyota Tacoma will go on sale in the coming weeks.
