If so, where would Ford put the generator?

Will the new 2021 Ford F-150 have a built-in on-board power generator? This is a new unofficial report says so. This report comes to us via our friends at Muscle Cars and Trucks.

The report says that several versions of the new 2021 F-150 will have on-board electricity generators. This includes both gasoline-powered and gas/electric hybrid versions of the upcoming F-150.

We presume the generator will no be carried by the truck like you see in the image above. That is an F-150 prototype with what appears to be a Honda generator attached behind it via a hitch receiver. If production versions of the 2021 F-150 will indeed package a separate power generator – where will it be located? Will it be installed inside the side of the bed or elsewhere? Will it be a separate generator?

This is indeed very interesting. In general, this is a great idea for those who have to power electric tools at the job site. Hopefully, this generator also comes with an on-board air compressor. The generator would also be very welcomed by camping and overland enthusiasts. The campers and camping accessories are getting larger, so having an additional power source would help a lot. If the new 2021 F-150 is getting a built-in generator, then we would expect the upcoming versions of the Ford Super Duty to get this option as well.
