Secret Service 1994 Ford E350 4X4 Van Is For Sale – It’s Low Miles, Mean and Expensive

POTUS #Vanlife with 21,000 miles.

This is how the van now looks. Stripped of its flood lights and internal communications systems, it still packs a lot of cool high-tech goodies including a generator!

This Ford E350 4X4 is claimed to be a Secret Service Communications vehicle for President Clinton’s motorcade!

Built for the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), this now-retired van was used to protect the POTUS. The program started in the mid-1970s and these vehicles were used as a mobile communication base. As technology evolved, so did the vehicle.

We send thanks to our friend – Destin Raybun – for finding this story.

The ’94 Ford E350 4X4 Van you see, which is for sale in Colorado for $31,000, has two generators, bank of four power storage batteries and 21,000 miles on the odometer. It also has diamond plate exterior steps (for secret service) and it’s currently for sale on Craigslist.

Here’s a quote from the seller:

“This van was created by Wolf Coach as a Secret Service Communications vehicle for President Clinton’s motorcade, code name Roadrunner. It cost in excess of $100,000 to build. I am the 1st civilian owner. Now, this is your once in a lifetime opportunity to own a functional and relevant piece of history!”

It would be a difficult choice to keep it as a pristine piece of presidential history, or convert it into a badass overlanding vehicle. Actually, no it wouldn’t… everyone at TFL would want to make this thing into a mobile command center for all of our off-road videos. It already has an outstanding platform to begin with!

Right now, there are a LOT of people building and buying “Bug-out” vehicles. I got to say, this van is a hell of a good starting point for anyone who’s interested.

Speaking of 4×4 vans!
