Super Duty 7.3L Gas V8 and Diesel Dually

Thanks to you, our readers and viewers, TFLtruck has enough clout to get vehicles like the 2020 Ford Super Duty 7.3L Gas V8 and Diesel Dually early. We are truly grateful as this early delivery of both trucks gives us a chance to test. We will tow, haul, run MPG runs and drive the hell out of both vehicles over the coming weeks.

Best-in-class Gas V8… and Diesel?

Ram and Chevy need to up their game; the 7.3-liter engine makes (best-in-class) 430 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 475 pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. An all-new steering system is part of the updates as well. Move over to the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 and you get 475 hp and a staggering 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

Recently, Ford equipped their HD truck with the 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission. Our test trucks will be competing in the world’s toughest towing test – the Ike Gauntlet™. Clawing their way up and down an eight-percent grade, at high elevation is quite a challenge. Keep in mind: we test everything from brakes, MPG, power, drivability, stability and noise.

Stand by folks, this real-world tests with these trucks will be epic!
