We just took delivery of a 2020 Ford Super Duty F-250 Tremor. This is not a truck that we purchased, but a truck that is here from Ford press fleet to compete in TFLtruck’s 2020 Gold Winch off-road competition.

2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor

Besides the old-school Ford “High Boy” trucks, this new 2020 F-250 Tremor is the most off-road worthy heavy duty truck from the Ford factory. It comes with a small suspension lift, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, unique sidesteps, small front chin spoiler for better approach, and much more.

The is available only in a crew cab configuration with a standard bed. It’s available in most trim levels and with a choice of a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 engine you see here or a new 7.3-liter gas V8. Both of these engines are mated to a new heavy duty 10-speed automatic transmission.

The updated 2020 6.7-liter diesel V8 is rated at a class-leading 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

The Tremor package also offers a locking/selectable rear differential, a limited slip front differential, several skid plates, and the latest off-road crawl control mode.

We have big plans for this truck and the other latest 2020 heavy off-road trucks: Ram Power Wagon and GMC Sierra HD AT4. We plan to compare these in the coming weeks, but we cannot share the driving impressions for the Tremor until late January 2020 in order to be fair to all out truck review publications.
