How would you configure your ultimate overland rig? How about a 2020 Ram Rebel crew cab with a turbo-diesel engine, a lift, an integrated winch, a rack with a tent, and so much more?
This is precisely what this Ram Rebel Off-The-Grid (OTG) concept truck by Mopar is all about. It make its official debut at the 2019 SEMA show next week in Las Vegas.
Ram Rebel OTG
This concept truck combines many off-the-shelf Mopar accessories with many Mopar concept parts, and equipment from many leading aftermarket manufacturers.
Under the hood of this off-road truck is a new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine with 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an updated 8-speed automatic transmission. A new 2020 Ram Rebel Diesel goes on sale this year, which is very soon.
Perhaps the coolest part of the powertrain is that a 2020 Ram 1500 Diesel 4×4 is EPA rated at 21 MPG city / 29 MPG highway and 24 MPG combined. It can be equipped with a 33-gallon fuel tank for a huge maximum driving range.
Next up is a two-inch suspension lift, 35-inch tall tires, beadlock-capable wheels, side rails for body protection, and a custom from grille and bumper. The new concept grille has a large “RAM” font with flow-through letters, but below is a fully-integrated steel bumper and a winch. Take that Power Wagon!
Here is a video that shows it all.
