Here they are! The Bollinger B1 four-door SUV and B2 four-door pickup truck. They are fill-size, all-electric, all-aluminum, off-road vehicles that can also haul as much weight as a big heavy duty truck.

What you see here are next level “beta” production prototypes that are nearly ready to be handed over for production. Bollinger team spent the last two years converting the original prototype two-door SUV into what you see here. The two-door is no more.

The B1 and the B2 share the same powertrain. Each “axle” has a compact electric motor, two-speed transfer case, and differential. Each electric motor produces over 300 horsepower. Each different is able to be locked for maximum traction.

A 120 kWh lithium-ion battery is resting in the middle of the vehicle. Bollinger estimates that this battery can take these trucks about 200 miles before needing to recharge. Naturally, these estimates do not account for the truck carrying the maximum payload of 5,000 lbs or towing a maximum of 7,500 lbs.

While these trucks can haul a heavy duty payload, they can only tow a trailer that a traditional midsize truck can tow. In fact, the B2 looks a lot like the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The Gladiator can be configured to tow up to 7,650 lbs.
