However, you may be able to lease a new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport base model for as low as $145 per month (before fees and a down payment). There is a report of a very aggressive residual value on future used Gladiators. The residual value estimated is a very high 90% after two years.
Effectively, the lease payments are calculated as a monthly payment that pays down the difference between the price of a brand new truck (when you are buying it) and the depreciated value at the end of the lease.
The report at Autoblog suggests that Jeep will be doing a 24 month lease for the Gladiator.
The base Gladiator Sport numbers come out as follows. The base price of the truck is $35,000 after destination charges. If the truck keeps 90% of its value after 24 months, then the depreciation is $3,500. Divide this number by 24 month, and you get about $145 per month. Again, this is for those who can qualify for a lease. It is before fees and the down payment.
