Toyota is unleashing this prototype truck called the Yaris Adventure. Toyota’s press release calls out class-leading specs such as a standard 1.5-liter gas engine with 103 horsepower and Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD system.
The 1.5-liter four-cylinder is listed at 112 lb-ft of torque. It’s backed up by a 6-speed automatic transmission. Toyota lists the little truck at 35 MPG estimate.
Toyota describes it as “class-leading everything”, because it is the only sub-compact pickup truck.
Toyota says the rear bed is 52.3-inch long, and the little trucklet has a maximum payload capacity of 297 pounds.
On the inside there is just room for two with some extra storage behind the front seats. There is a 7-inch infotainment system with a standard 2-speaker audio system. There is one USB media port, but there is no available Navigation system.
