Several of you have asked: why is the FCA February 2019 sales report showing 80 new Jeep Gladiator trucks sold, but official pricing has not been announced yet.
This is interesting indeed. Jeep has released an online configurator for the truck several months ago, but no pricing information is publicly available yet.
We reached out to Jeep and got an answer. The 80 trucks already shown as sold are for “internal use only”. Manufacturers often build pre-production vehicles to be used for auto shows or other events. Although, 80 sounds like a big number.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is said to go on sale in the Spring 2019. It will be initially available with a 3.6L gas V6 engine and a choice of two transmissions (6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic).
We will be driving the new Jeep truck at the end of this month, so please stay tuned.
