2019 Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star Trucks Celebrate Texas

Catering to Texas with special editions is done widely across the pickup truck industry and the latest model to receive the Lone Star treatment is the new 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500.

Revealed at the Dallas Auto Show, the new 2500 and 3500 Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star trucks will only be sold in Texas and will feature “Lone Star” badging on the tailgate and interior. Ram claims that it was the first automaker to introduce a Texas edition pickup that was sold exclusively in that state.

All Lone Star trucks will come with a towing package that includes a hitch, trailer brake controller and power trailer mirrors as standard equipment. For style, Lone Star models include chrome door handles, bumper and grille, along with halogen headlamps. Standard 18-inch steel wheels are fit, though 20-inch chrome or painted aluminum wheels can be added.

On the inside, Lone Star trucks are offered with two different interior packages in four different colors. Optional equipment inside includes a closer upper dash-door with a Lone Star badge on it, a power driver seat and the Uconnect 8.4-inch infotainment system. Color choices are Black/Diesel Gray, Black/Light Brown, Light Frost/Black or all black.

For configurations, the Lone Star package can be had on as regular, crew and mega cab trucks with either the 410-horsepower 6.4-liter HEMI gas V8 or the big 6.7-liter Cummins diesel which can be had with either 850 or 1000 lb-ft of torque.

Pricing for the 2500 Lone Star begins at $37,645 while the 3500 Lone Star begins at $39,095. You can also get a monochromatic Sport Appearance Package for $1,195 or a Black Appearance package for $2595.
