Off-road trucks are getting so capable straight from the dealerships these days and we just so happen to have three of the best to put to the test.

First, we have the new 2019 Ram Rebel with the 5.7-liter HEMI V8. This truck is the latest TFLTruck long-term tester and it’s fitted with steel suspension and eTorque, along with all the goodies that make it a Rebel. Those include tow hooks, a skid plate, a one-inch lift, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires and Bilstein shocks. The Rebel measures in with a wheelbase of 144.6-inches, 8.7-inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 23.3 degrees and a departure of 27.2 degrees.

Next up, we brought the 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. This truck comes powered by a 5.3-liter V8 sending its power through a 10-speed automatic transmission. To make sure it’s ready for off-road use the Trail Boss gets a two-inch lift, 32-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, Rancho shocks and a skid plate. The wheelbase on this truck comes in at 147.5-inches, ground clearance is a full 10.88 inches, approach angles measures 28.7 degrees and departure angle comes in at 27.2 degrees.

Finally, we have the half-ton truck that has long been considered the bar in the off-road world: the 2019 Ford Raptor. With a new set of FOX Live Valve shocks that are fully adjustable from inside the cabin, the 2019 Raptor is more ready than ever to take a beating off road. This truck has a wheelbase of 146-inches, it packs 11.5-inches of ground clearance, a 30.2-degree approach angle, 23 degree departure angle and 35-inch BFGoodrich K02 tires.

While the numbers suggest that the new Ford Raptor should be the best truck off-road, is that what our real world testing will show? For now, you’ll have to watch our short teaser video above to see all three of these off-road beasts, and stay tuned for the full video showing these three duelling it out for off-road half-ton supremacy.
