The all-new 2020 Chevy Silverado HD is coming next year, but we thought it would be good to get some opinions on how you want the new heavy duty truck improved over the current one. What do you think is most important for a heavy duty truck? Is it weight capability, fuel economy, high-tech features, comfort, or … ?

Here is what we know so far.

The all-new HD trucks from General Motors will have new style and new power. Officially, we only have one image so far (see video below). Chevrolet also announced that the new 2020 heavy duty trucks will go on sale near the end of 2019. The only official image and the hood scoop suggest that the Duramax V8 turbo-diesel is likely to return for next generation. There are also all-new single-post side towing mirrors.

There is a strong rumor that the 2020 trucks are getting an all new 6.6L gasoline V8 engine. It may mean the end of the line for the current 6.0L Vortec V8.

The latest spy images of the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD show a unique headlight design and a side-step built into the bed just behind the cab (follow the link to see the step). The headlight module has an LED running light and blinker on top and the main “lamp” below.

What HD truck is most important to you? Is it capability to tow 30,000 lbs with the 1-ton dually? Is simply better fuel economy across the line? Is it more high-tech features that make using the truck easier to use? Is it overall comfort?

We guess that the new HD truck will have ever more cameras (with 360-degree surround view capability), GM’s latest infotainment system that is now on the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, and the push button tailgate.

Please let us know what’s important to you in the poll and comments section below.
