“This truck currently has 374,000 miles and has pulled a gooseneck trailer about 95% of its life & still pulls one daily. I have towed as much as 20,000 lbs on the gooseneck ball and the truck performs great. It is a stock truck with a down pipe back 4-inch exhaust. In my opinion, the Duramax/Allison combo is one of the best on the road. This truck is well maintained, but it is not a pavement queen. I take it off-road using 4WD many times a week to get to my dumpster containers for my business.

I am the second owner. The first owner is a well known rancher in the area that raises longhorns. He actually owns Bevo the University of Texas mascot longhorn. This truck pulled stock trailers and flatbed goosenecks by them. I have hauled large RVs and my gooseneck trailer for my business.

When I purchased the truck it already had high miles on it, and it was in pretty rough shape cosmetically. I cleaned it up and was going to sell it. I had a nice new lifted Ford. After a few months of driving this truck, I fell in love with the truck and sold my lifted Ford. As far as repairs/ maintenance. I have replaced the brakes two times, the alternator once, the vane position sensor for the turbo, and the blower motor for the AC/heater. Oil/filters for the engine, transmission, differentials many times. What impresses me about the truck is that it performs so well and runs like new, but it has been run hard and put up wet most of its life. I have owned the big three heavy duty trucks and I am pleased by the reliability and performance of this platform.”

Aaron – thank you for sending the pictures and the story behind the truck!
