2019 Ford F-150 Raptor Trail Control Takes Some Stress Out of Off-Roading

2019 Ford Raptor

The 2019 Ford Raptor is getting a new system called Trail Control and the brand has released a bit more information on it.

Trail Control takes care of the throttle and braking when off-road, allowing the driver to focus on steering. Ford F-150 Raptor Trail Control is quite similar to Toyota’s Crawl Control found in the Tacoma, though Trail Control can be used up to speeds of 20 mph, selectable by the driver.

Ford also says that the system can help dig the truck out of deep sand if it happens to get stuck. Trail Control is able to send different amounts of torque to each wheel individually, as well as brake each wheel individually, giving the truck precise control of what’s going on.

Trail Control will be available on the 2019 Ford Raptor and the 2019 Ford Ranger.
