2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Online Configurator Includes Texas Edition: How Much Is It? (News)

GMC launches the online configurator for the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. This is the main consumer site configurator, but it only lets you configure SLT and Denali trucks. How much is the base Sierra 1500 SLT crew cab 2WD, what does the new Texas Edition give you, how far can you option the luxurious Denali, and how would we configure it? Here are all the details.

The new crew cab Sierra SLT 2WD starts at a M.S.R.P. of $48,195. This is including the $1,495 destination charge. There are just three color options that are free of charge: Onyx Black, Summit White, and Cardinal Red. The other eight exterior colors add at least $395 to the price.

The 4×4 system adds $3,300 to the price of a crew cab truck. The SLT has no fewer than seven wheel design/options ranging from 18-inch to 22-inch rims.

The Texas Edition ranges in price from $3,060 to $5,875 and includes all SLT Premium or Premium Plus features and options. You get a lot in these packages, check it out.

Here is the configuration that I would choose if I was shopping for a new 2019 Sierra right now. I wanted to configure an AT4 off-road truck, but that option is not available yet in the configurator. Here is the 5.3L V8 8-speed crew cab SLT 4×4 for $54,435. I added the X31 off-road package with 2-speed transfer case, locking differential, and more. It also includes a cat-back performance exhaust system for $1,195. GMC says it adds a little power and enhances the truck’s V8 sound.

The fully loaded 2019 Denali 6.2L V8 10-speed crew cab 4×4 (without most dealer-installed accessories) pushed the total price to $71,315. This includes every technology and convenience feature that we could find.

Let’s recap:

  • The base SLT crew cab 2WD starts at $48,195.
  • The truck I configured was an SLT crew cab 4×4 with a couple of options at $54,435.
  • Fully loaded Denali crew cab 4×4 with the 6.2L V8 ended up at $71,315.
