The new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor is starting to roll down the production line of Ford’s Thailand vehicle factory in Rayong. Ford has released a quick video clip of the mini-Raptor and the images you see here. Indeed, this is specifically the overseas version of the Ranger Raptor. We do not know if or when the mini-Raptor will be available of sale in the United States. Ford has not made any official statements about this.

This version of the Ranger Raptor is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbo Diesel engine. If the midsize Raptor ever reaches our shores, we do not expect to receive this engine with it. We expect to see something like the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 under the hood of this future off-roader. This is simply our guess.

We know that a left-hand drive version of the Ranger Raptor was recently spied testing on American soil, but there is no official word on this. Some reports peg the availability of the Ranger Raptor in the USA as a 2020 model. While others say, we will have to wait even longer until 2021 or 2022 until a redesigned Ranger to get the Raptor.

Australian sources report that the Ranger Raptor will reach their shores/dealerships in October 2018 at a starting price of $74,990 (Australian dollars). For comparison, a regular Ranger crew cab 4×4 XL starts at $49,415 (Australian dollars).

Here is everything we know so far about the overseas version of the 2019 Ranger Raptor.
