2019 Ram ProMaster Van Lineup Adds Capability and Fresh Looks (News)

Ram has released the updated 2019 ProMaster van lineup, adding payload and towing capacity along with a new front end.

Both the ProMaster and ProMaster City receive a new grille, now with the “RAM” logo emblazoned in the center of a lightly changed front fascia. Other styling changes include new black bumpers and side panels, optional black steel wheels, and optional polycarbonate side rear windows.

What really matters is added capability in the form of 200 pounds of extra payload, bringing the total up to 4,680 pounds for the ProMaster 3500. The ProMaster 1500 now has a payload rating of 4,000 pounds, while the 2500 can tow 4,230 pounds. Towing has been increased as well for the full-size van, up to 6,800 pounds, bolstered by a new trailer-tow group that has been added as an option, offering a Class IV receiver with four- and seven-pin wiring harness.

New interior LED lighting that is 20 times brighter has been added to help see your cargo and can run on a motion sensor. Ram Telematics is also part of the package and can be used for vehicle tracking, to obtain driver behaviour data and more.

Pricing for the 2019 models has also been released, with the 2019 Ram ProMaster 1500 Cargo Van 118-inch Low Roof model starting at $30,195 plus $1,645 for destination.
