Here is another look at what appears to be a prototype for the upcoming redesign of the next Nissan Frontier. This one is a crew cab with simple headlights and traditional-looking wheels. Generally, it would not garner much attention, but it does have minimal camouflage on the front bumper, front badge, and rear bed side. The camouflage is hiding the badging and the model designation.
This may very well be a Nissan NP300 that is on sale in Mexico, or a Nissan Navara that is sold elsewhere. We will not know for sure if this indeed is what the United States version of the new Frontier will look like until Nissan officially unveils it.
If you are expecting a wild new design from the next Frontier, this prototype is not it. The overall styling of this truck is conservative and does look much different from the current Frontier.
The current Nissan Frontier is still a tough truck that is very competitive when you consider its towing capability. Here it is on our Ike Gauntlet™ – world’s toughest towing test.
