March was generally a good month for pickup truck sales. Ford F-Series trucks had their best selling month since 2000 for a total of 87,011 trucks. Chevy Silverado sales jumped up 23.9% in March, while GMC Sierra’s recent sales decline slowed down. Ram trucks sales declined in March as the company is switching from the 2018 trucks to the new generation 2019 models.
Toyota Tundra had a successful sales month with over 10,000 pickups sold in March, but Nissan did not continue monthly sales gains.
It will be interesting to see whether the pickup truck segment will continue to grow in the months ahead.
