Take a look at these 2019 Chevy Silverado HD 6500, 5500, and 4500 prototypes testing in Northern Alberta, or are they actually Navistar International prototypes?  (Editor: Big thanks to Jordan Trudel for sending these images to us.)

The new 2019 Chevy Silverado class 4, 5, and 6 trucks made their official debut at the 2018 Work Truck Show just a few short weeks ago. There are many more reports now of these trucks testing on public roads in United States and Canada. These trucks are targeted to go on sale at the end of 2018.

Please pay special attention to the grilles on these prototypes, as it is not a Chevrolet design. The vertical bars on these grilles look a lot like Navistar International trucks. It’s no surprise, because GM worked together with Navistar to develop these new medium duty trucks. It would be a logical conclusion that these trucks will also be sold under the International badge, although there is no official word on this yet.

The red crew cab pictured here appears to be a 2WD truck, but the black crew cab looks to be a 4×4 as the cab is sitting higher. Chevrolet says 4×4 model sit approximately three inches higher than the 4×2 models.

Here is a first detailed look at the new medium duty trucks from Chevrolet.
