Ford F-Series Leads with Best Sales Results in 14 Years – GM, Nissan, and Toyota See Big Gains in January 2018 (Sales Report)

Full-size pickup trucks saw mixed sales success in January of 2018 in United States. Ford F-Series saw a modest improvement in sales over January of 2017, but the result is the best sales number since 2004.

Chevrolet has a strong hold on the second place with a big 14.5% improvement over last year. Ram trucks slid down significantly in January as the company is working to launch the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 with the next couple of months. GMC Sierra line did not match the sales growth of the Silverado cousin. In fact, the sales declined significantly by -18.3%.

Toyota Tundra had a great results with a 15.3% improvement, and Nissan Titan continues to pick up sales with a 46.4% increase over January of last year.

This chart and data include just three years worth of sales data. This is not an attempt at a future sales prediction, but it’s interesting to see that Chevy/GMC truck sales trend may eventually intersect the Ram upward progression. The same is going with the steady Toyota sales and recent resurgence with the Nissan Titan numbers.
