This is the Face of the 2019 GMC Sierra – Or the Lights, At Least (News)

GMC has teased the design of the 2019 Sierra ahead of its global debut in Detroit.

A few days ago, Real Fast Photography sent us some spy shots of the 2019 GMC Sierra. Now, this Thursday, they’re getting ready to pull the wraps off and show the truck to the world. GMC’s teaser photos show the truck from two angles. One from dead on, where we get to see the detail of those new U-shaped headlights (and the GMC badge, naturally), but not much else.

The side profile shows even less, but we can see that there’s a different taillight design as well. Now, we’ve covered the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado in great depth. From the moment where Chevy dropped the new Silverado on us Texas Motor Speedway, to our old vs. new comparison and deep dive, we’ve been there every step of the way.

At this point, we don’t have much official information on the Sierra. While GM is taking some steps to differentiate the Sierra from the Silverado, at least on the appearance front, we’d expect powertrains to be similar to the Silverado. That means a 5.3-liter V8 as well as the 6.2 and a 3.0-liter diesel engine, all paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

We’ll be coming to you LIVE from Detroit at 3 PM Eastern on Thursday, March 1st with the all-new Sierra. Tune into TFLnow for the live reveal!
