What new pickup trucks will be unveiled at the 2017 State Fair of Texas? We have two official teasers for a show that is just three days away (Sep 28th, 2017). Every truck manufacturer usually brings something new to the show. This year should be no exception.

The State Fair of Texas marks the first significant pickup truck event of the fall and winter auto show season. Chevrolet is celebrating 100 years of trucks at the show. The company is expected to unveil at least one special 100 year anniversary edition truck. We expect it to be the 2018 Chevy Colorado 100th anniversary edition. Will the company also unveil the next generation of the HD 4500 and 5500 Chevy Kodiak trucks? We will have to wait to find out.

Ram has also released a teaser of what appears to be a new Longhorn edition of their trucks. Not much information is known, but Ram did release this statement “Ram will unveil new models with a decidedly Lone Star flavor”. We anticipate this new luxurious Texas-themed package to be available on Ram 1500 and heavy duty trucks.

Not much more official information is known at this point, but we think that Ford will release the specification and information on the 2018 Ford Super Duty. Toyota is likely to show the 2018 Toyota Tacoma that will have company’s latest suite of driver-assistance technologies. Nissan may show a new special edition of the Titan or Frontier trucks. It would also be interesting to see a new Nissan Titan with the gas V6 engine.

You will be the first to get the truck news from Texas this week. In the meantime, here is the debut of the Ram Rebel TRX Concept from last year’s State Fair of Texas.
