1974 Ford F-250 4×4 – Rusty Boy

If you are following Tommy’s “Rusty Boy” (1974 Ford F250 4×4 High Boy) project truck, you already know that one of the lifters and push rods failed in the old V8. Tommy took the truck to Devon’s Car Care, and Devon replaced the problematic parts to get the truck back on the road. Of course, this is just a band-aide. The root cause of the problem is a worn-down cam shaft and lack of oil lubrication inside the engine. No matter – Rusty Boy is back on the road and ready to make more videos. Although, the engine is basically a ticking time bomb. Nobody knows when it fail again, and how spectacular (or not) that failure will be.

What to do? The budget is extremely limited. This is Tommy’s personal truck, and he purchased it just only a month ago. The next step is to change the fluids, and go to a heavier weight oil. This is an older trick and yet another band aide to a tired old engine.

Follow Tommy and Roman as they attempt to get the tired Rusty Boy engine running a little better. Also, they find a very interesting Dodge D300 truck.
