New spy images of the Jeep Wrangler pickup truck (codename: JT) have surfaced. The images show a pickup truck that is clearly based on the upcoming Jeep Wrangler (codename JL). The wheelbase is stretched, the pickup prototype has four doors (crew cab), and a short bed appears to be well integrated into the rest of the body.

It’s not a questions of whether the Wrangler pickup truck will be built, it’s a question of when it will reach the market. Several sources put the pickup truck as a 2019 model, while others say it will be a 2020. Jeep has said that the pickup truck will follow the release of the next-generation Wrangler JL. However, we do not yet know when the JL will make its official debut or when the JL will reach dealerships. Once we have this JL information and specifications, it may be easier to predict the timing for the JT.

At this time, it is difficult to nail down and predict the model year designation and the timing for the truck.
