Does TFLtruck have longterm reliability pickup truck reviews? The short answer is: we have just two such reviews. We did a longterm update on our 2014 Ford Raptor (with 45,000 miles) and 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Duramax (with 155,000 miles).

We also have our 1985 K10 “Big Green” project truck.

TFLtruck recently received the following question from Eric Payne:

May I ask if there is an existing review or video of any longterm problems with half-ton trucks. I ask because I had Ford F-150 with the 5.4 Triton that I loved, but it started having timing issues and the service writer told me it was a well known issue. I could have used that information before I fell in love with my truck.

I moved to a Ram 1500, and to be honest I’ve had problems with FIAT Chryslers warranty work. The internet is full of FC owners like me, who can’t believe they won’t stand behind their product. I know every situation/truck/manufacturer is different. Knowledge empowers the buyer. I feel like if I would have known that 5.4 Tritons had long term problems and FC is hard to deal with when it comes to warranty work, I would have disqualified them both. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, we do not have a longterm reliability review of a Ford F-150 with the Triton V8 engine or an older Ram/Dodge pickup truck. We are still a small team and we do not have vast resources to purchase and review many trucks. However, we will be building up our library of longterm updates over time. Please stay tuned.
