Several reports suggest that the Mercedes pickup truck will be based on the Nissan NP300 Navara (aka. Nissan Frontier). The latest version of the Nissan NP300 Navara is now sold in other markets (Europe and Asia). It’s not clear whether the Mercedes pickup concept will give any hint into what the next generation Nissan Frontier will be like for the United States market.

The name of the production pickup truck is still unconfirmed. It may be called the GLT or X-Class.

What do you think? Should Mercedes Benz bring this premium midsize pickup truck to the United States?
