We rarely get to drive regular cab pickup trucks, so driving the 2017 Nissan Titan XD Regular Cab was a treat. We had a unique opportunity to (briefly) drive the 2017 Nissan Titan XD Regular Cab pickup truck during the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo which is put on by TAWA (Texas Auto Writers Association). During the brief drive, TFL Producer: Andre Smirnov, went on assignment to gain insight on this new vehicle.
While the mechanical components remain the same as the Crew Cab Nissan Titan XD, there are some differences. It is lighter, more maneuverable and it appears easier to drive. Among its unique features and capabilities, the 2017 Nissan Titan XD Regular Cab with the 5.0L Cummins V8 can pull up to 12,640 lbs (when properly equipped) and it can haul up to 2,400 lbs.
Pricing and a specific roll-out date have yet to be announced; however, it should be expected near the end of 2016 and its starting price should be (well) under the $36,290 base price for the base 2WD Crew Cab. Nissan has one more version of the Nissan Titan XD to introduce in the near future; the Nissan Titan XD King Cab.
