Bryce Menzies is known for racing Pro2 off-road truck on dirt and snow. These races have to do with medium-sized jumps, but Bryce is taking truck jumping to a world record level with Red Bull and Pennzoil. The goal is to beat the standing record of 332 feet, and what better place to do it than flying over a western ghost town.

Bryce and team built the launch and landing ramps out of scaffolding and wood in preparation for the jump to be broadcasted live on Red Bull TV on Saturday, Aug 27th. Bryce had a successful jump during practice that measured an amazing 379.2 feet. This practice jump beat the record by a huge margin. The looked to beat their own record during the live broadcast. Unfortunately, Bryce crashed during a final practice jump that followed. The truck was badly damaged and Bryce suffered a fractured shoulder. The specifics of the crash are not yet released. The live event was canceled.
