Chevy Tahoe & Cadillac Escalade Top June Full-Size SUV Sales, Expedition Is Most Improved [Sales]

Chevy Tahoe Ford Expedition

Manufacturers have released the most recent SUV sales data and the Chevy Tahoe continues to be the best-selling full-size SUV on the market, selling almost 7,900 copies last month and easily outpacing the competition in year-to-date sales figures. If sales of the longer wheelbase Suburban and the almost identical GMC Yukon and Yukon XL are lumped together, one could say General Motors has a near monopoly on full-size family haulers. Ford is not giving up, however, as the Expedition increased year-over-year same month sales by 86% and came within 384 units of the Tahoe. As for the Nissan Armada, we can only assume potential customers are waiting for the new 2017 model to be released.

GM also dominates this list but the QX80 and Lexus LX had sizable growth in year-over-year same month sales and year-to-date sales, respectively. Losing traction is the Lincoln Navigator which, like the Armada, has a new version coming – or at least debuting – for 2017.
