2017 Chevy Colorado Shoreline… Dude!

The General loves its special edition vehicles. In the last couple of months alone we’ve seen the Chevy Silverado Realtree Edition and the GMC Sierra All-Terrain X come to fruition. Joining the ranks of these trucks is the Chevy Colorado Shoreline, which is a Colorado that draws from the popular styling cues of the SoCal scene. That means less chrome… which is a good thing. Other visual enhancements include blacked-out trim pieces, black 18-inch wheels, body-color front grille, all-weather floor liners, and a spray-in bed liner.

Colorado Shorelines will also come with 12 months of SiriusXM satellite radio and will be available in four colors: Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot, and Laser Blue. The Shoreline package will only be offered on the LT trim level with an extended cab, although two- or four-wheel-drive will be available.

The motivation for the Shoreline came from the fact that more midsize trucks are sold in Los Angeles than in the next two biggest markets combined, according to GM. This is not surprising since during a recent trip to SoCal, the freeways were rampant with Tacomas, Fontiers, and Colorados, among other late-model mid-sizers. While this is essentially a sport appearance package, it sounds like a good option for buyers who are adverse to the bling-bling that comes from too much chrome often found on new trucks these days. If you’re a fan the Shoreline, GM says you can pick one up at a dealership this summer. Thankfully, the California-themed truck will be offered throughout the country.
