Truck styling is very subjective. Some people will love it and some will hate it. The task of a vehicle designer is to find a theme that matches the vehicle type and execute on it to attract the most buyers. The all-new 2016 Titan draws inspiration from a Titan warrior mask. Here are a few early design sketches that illustrate the point.

One of the lead designers on the Nissan Titan, Randy Rodriguez, walks us through the design details of the exterior and the interior of the new Titan. The design was modified in order to incorporate the big 5.0-liter Cummins V8. The features were also toned down for production as almost always is the case. This is a side-affect of focus group feedback and budget concerns.

Speaking of focus groups – Nissan Titan product planning leader, Brent Hagan, studied all of the early feedback on the truck. He demonstrates a few usability features of the new truck, such as the gooseneck hitch, tailgate, rear seat flat floor system, and more. The Titan has a multitude of thoughtful features, inside and out. We will publish more details and a review of this at the end of the week.
