Any work truck or van is as tool to get the job done, and this 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 chassis has been up-fitted with a three-way dump truck body. This creative bed design is done by Innovative Vehicle Solutions.
It uses electric-over-hydraulic mechanism to enable the payload carrying bed to tilt in three directions. The auxiliary battery provides the needed power. There is no need to run the engine if there is enough charge in the batteries. It’s simple to switch the direction of the tilt by moving the locking pins to the desired pivot point (or corner).
This dump truck has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 11,000 pounds and 4,000 pounds of maximum payload capacity. the side panels of the bed are aluminum, while the bed floor is steel.
This Sprinter dump truck is still powered the 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel, which enables a relatively good fuel economy. This dump truck version retails for around $50,000 the way you see it here.
