The pickup truck industry is eagerly anticipating the all-new 2016 Nissan Titan. The redesigned truck is bigger, packs more features, comes in two chassis choices, and will even offer a 5.0L V8 Cummins turbo-diesel with 555 lb-ft of torque. It appears that Nissan is again putting all the torque to the test as these undisguised prototypes were caught in the wild with a giant enclosed trailer.
TFL was first to bring you the 2016 Titan spy shots on March 6, 2013 (that is over two years ago). Those camouflaged prototypes were towing a very similar tall trailer.
Nissan’s testing crew carefully masked all Nissan and/or Cummins badges with tape, but these trucks have no other camouflage. We still do not know much about all the engine options for the next Titan, towing capacities, or pricing. However, we do know that the 2016 Titans should go on sale at the end of calendar year 2015. There are still a few short months to wait.
