The next generation 2016 Nissan Titan is still many months away from arriving at your local dealership, but we get another look behind the scenes at the design process behind Nissan’s new truck. Diane Allen, Senior Design Manager at Nissan, walks us through the design inspiration and process for the second generation Titan.
We still do not know many of the specifications or have images of the various cab and bed configurations. We do not that the Titan XD chassis will come with a 5.0L Cummins v8 turbo-diesel with 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. XD is what Nissan calls it’s heavier frame and chassis. The Cummins motor is backed up by a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
Nissan says that the 2016 Titan will go on sale in “late 2015”.
