2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

Toyota is taking the Tundra to the next level with the 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.  It has a dual TRD exhaust system, modified suspension with specially tuned Bilstein shocks, and many unique visual updates.  Just take a look at the blacked out grille with the “TOYOTA” spelled out.  There are also: black 18 inch rims, black trim, and this hard-to-miss orange paint.  The interior sees more TRD Pro touches with embroidered seats, floor mats, and more black trim.

The power train remains the same.  The 5.7L iForce V8 is good for 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque.  The 6-speed automatic transmission is back on duty as well.  The truck does sit a little higher (two inches in the front and 1.25 inches in the rear).  It also has heavy-duty skid plates underneath.  The off-road focused hardware may add some extra weight (final specifications are not yet known).

TFLtruck wants to know how quick this truck is 0-60 MPH.  We already tested the 2013 and the 2014 Tundras with the 5.7L motor.  How will the TRD Pro compare?  We used the same location, and the ambient temperature was in the high 80s F.
