Commercial Van – June 2014 Sales Chart

While GMC Savana continues its sales resurgence by satisfying pent up demand, the new guys arrive on the scene and show sales strength.  The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect has ramped up and is spreading its wings with a number three sales spot for the month of June and overall for the first half of 2014.

The leading Ford E-series is slowing down as the all-new 2015 Ford Transit comes online with first month of sales.  The Transit moved 490 units in June, but production and delivery is nowhere near where they should be.  It will be interesting to see whether the Transit can eventually lead this segment, as the E-series has done for so many years.

The refreshed 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is doing just fine with a 12.0% increase over June of last year.  The Nissan NV200 passed its bigger brother NV in June sales by just a hair.  While the Ram ProMaster is breathing down the Nissan’s neck.

Fresh product is finally here and it’s making the segment a lot more competitive and rejuvenated.  This trend will also spread to the RV and other industries that use van chassis or cut-aways.
