Top Five Badass Movie Trucks

Jeepers Creepers truck
The Top Five Badass Movie Trucks comes from a vast well of awesome movie vehicles. While it would be easy enough to use trucks sourced from family movies (Tow Mater from Cars), the trucks used for this list are just plain badasses. Most of these rigs have a sinister or violent bent with a crux of each movie resting upon them. They are tough, mean and über cool.

maximum overdrive
Top Five Badass Movie Trucks #5: Maximum Overdrive (1986). Based on a Stephen King story, the film was a bit cheesy – in a good way. Trucks that are possessed on a killing spree in 1980s America? Gimme more of that! The kick-ass soundtrack was from AC/DC too!

jeeperscreepers vs eating
Top Five Badass Movie Trucks #4: Jeepers Creepers (2001). Say what you want about the subject matter (a redneck demon who digs on carving pieces out of his select victims), Jeepers Creepers is fun, violent and creepy. The truck used in the film was a 1941 Chevrolet COE (Cab Over Engine) truck. The license plate says, “BEATNGU” …it’s mighty easy for fans to recognize.

Duel truck
Top Five Badass Movie Trucks #3: The Duel (1971). Surprisingly, Duel was a 1971 television movie that later became a full-length theatrical thriller. One of the first films directed by Steven Spielberg it was written by Richard Matheson. It stars Dennis Weaver and has one of the most iconic movie trucks out there!

Optimus-Prime
Top Five Badass Movie Trucks #2: Transformers 4 Age of Extinction (2014). As of this writing, Transformers 4 Age of Extinction has yet to debut; but, based on the previews, the new Optimus Prime looks awesome! Dude, he battles with a robotic dinosaur… did you hear that? A ROBOTIC DINOSAUR!

roadwarriortruck2
Top Five Badass Movie Trucks #1: The Road Warrior/Mad Max 2 (1981). Say what you want about the cast, the movie itself was flippin’ awesome. Loaded with action (and red sand) the battle truck used during the film’s climax was mean. In many ways, the story revolved around that rig and the combat sequences it experienced were epic.
