Which V6 Is Faster? Chevy Colorado ZR2 or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon (Drag Race Week)

2018 jeep wrangler rubicon recon chevy colorado zr2 truck drag race
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon vs Chevy Colorado ZR2

Which off-roader is faster? Will it be the new Chevy Colorado ZR2 crew cab with the 3.6L gas V6, or the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon with a 3.6L gas V6?

The Recon edition of the Wrangler is the most off-road worthy Jeep JK you can currently purchase from the factory. It has a half inch lift, stronger Dana 44 axles, cast differential covers, bigger rock sliders, and more. It’s powered by a familiar 3.6L Pentastar V6 that is good for 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission does the shifting.

The Chevy Colorado ZR2 uses a recently redesigned 3.6L V6 that is rated at 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. This gas V6 is backed up by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The ZR2 is the most off-road worthy Chevy pickup truck due to its specialize suspension that gives the truck a higher ground clearance and wider stance. The ZR2 also offers rock sliders for additional off-road protection.
