Chevy Colorado ZR2 vs Ram Power Wagon

The new Chevy Colorado ZR2 and the Ram Power Wagon are very different, but they also have a few things in common. The ZR2 is a V6-powered midsize truck, and the Power Wagon is 3/4-ton heavy duty with a giant HEMI V8. They are both off-road specialty pickup trucks that are equipped with a front and rear locking differentials from the factory. No other pickup truck for sale in the United States is available with two diff lockers from the factory. Both of these trucks ride on Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires (31-inch on the ZR2 and 33-in on the Power Wagon).

Yes, these are beastly off-road trucks, but most of these spend a majority of their time on pavement as daily drivers. Which one is faster?

The 3.6L V6 in the Colorado ZR2 is rated at 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque that is backed up by an 8-speed automatic transmission. You can also get this V6 and transmission in other Chevy Colorado models.

The Power Wagon is equipped with a 6.4L HEMI V8 that produces 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed transmission does the shifting in the big Ram.
