2018 Ford Super Duty Limited Revealed at the 2017 State Fair of Texas [Video]

This week at the Texas State Fair, Ford debuted the 2018 Ford Super Duty Limited. This truck aims to combine the capability that we have come to expect from the Super Duty lineup with the luxury of Ford’s Limited range.

Capability

The standard powertrain on the 2018 Ford Super Duty Limited models is the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel V8 paired to a TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain puts out 440 horsepower and, more importantly, 925 lb-ft of torque. That torque figure is good for a max towing capacity of around 30,000 lbs. There are no engine specification updates for the 2018 model year.

Luxury and Looks

As for the luxurious side, leather is covering almost every surface you can imagine on this vehicle, plus a suede headliner. The seats are both heated and cooled. The leather wrapped steering wheel is also heated. There are hand-finished ash wood inserts on the doors. And, of course, special badging to remind you which trim level you bought. The exterior sports a unique twin-bar satin grill with chrome accents. Ford’s quintessential quad-beam ‘C-Clamp’ LED lights surround the special grill. To complete the exterior look, ford has given the limited a satin-finished tailgate applique. Finally, each Limited also has a serial number laser-etched on the armrest.

Technology

Ford aimed to make this truck both luxurious and technologically advanced. The list of tech features includes: 360-degree camera with Trailer Reverse Guidance, BLIS® with trailer coverage, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, lane-keeping alert, and forward collision warning with brake support. Of course Ford also includes their SYNC 3 infotainment system, but that was to be expected…

Cost

So, you are probably wondering what all this tech, luxury, and capability is going to cost you. It’s not cheap, that’s for sure. Base MSRP (including $1,295 destination fee) for the Limited range is as follows:
