The official debut of the next generation 2019 Ram 1500 pickup is still a few months away. The truck is expected to make a worldwide debut in January 2018 at the Detroit Auto Show. Ram is still amidst the testing and development process as evidenced by many images and videos of the prototypes accumulating miles on public roads. These images come to us courtesy of Brian R. – thank you Brian!

There is a lot of heavy camouflage and cladding on this particular truck, but a few element come through in these great close-up shots. (Note: have you noticed that the camouflage makes this Ram truck look like a Ford F150? Do you agree?)

First is the outline of the headlights. The main projector light appears to have silver or chrome surrounds and accents built-in. Next are the wheels and tires. The rim has a new design, and they are wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. This prototype does not appear aggressive enough to be the Ram Rebel model. This truck could be testing a new wheel-tire combination for the regular 4×4 model.

This truck appears to the longer crew cab model, and the bed-side cladding suggests that the Ram Box storage feature will continue with the 2019 Ram 1500 lineup.
