• Is This the Cheapest Ford Raptor in America?

Back in 2010 the Ford Raptor was all new. Orange was all the rage and everyone was trying to figure out if the Raptor had enough power with just a 5.4L V8.

FYI: It did not. Nathan and I drove the truck around the block in this very old TFL video review below.

Over the years, the Ford Raptor has become the Ferrari of pickup trucks. It has also proved to be a truck that holds its value. Used Ford Raptors still sell for a significant premium so that’s why I was very surprised when Tommy found this 2010 5.4L Ford Raptor for sale in Denver for just $21K….or best offer.

The truck has all of the bells and whistles according to the Craiglist ad including:

    Luxury Package ($1950 option)

Two tone orange and black heated leather Accent Package ($395 option)

Sony Sound System with Navigation ($2430 option)

    Rearview Camera ($450 option)

Integrated Trailer Brake Controller ($230 option)

    Moonroof

According to the seller, it also has a clean car fax and 146K on the clock. Is this your dream truck? You can check out the craigslist ad HERE.

But remember buyer beware.  Is this too good to be true. I’ll leave that for you to decide. Please let us know in the comments below what you think.

Also, take a look at this very early and very embarrassing  TFL Ford Raptor video review below.

    1. Roman Mica, I thought of Burnt Reynolds and Tom Selleck. LOL

Man that interior looks like a 1970’s computer from a cartoon video. YEUUUK. LOL

You guys looked a lot less stressed out from us viewers, but your videos are so much better. Two Thumbs up

    2. Good thing Roman ditched the stache. I like Nathan, but I know why he and Howard Stern always wear sunglasses lol.

    3. I have a 2010 F-150 5.4L Lariat with 132K on it and love that truck. But I agree, the Red stripe on this Raptor down the center makes me think it’s out of Tron or something.

      1. The motors were very close power wise, but I know first hand the 5.4 is quicker. Slightly quicker than a buddies. Both our motors were mid 2000 4 speeds.
His 5.3L was slightly better mileage.

    4. In my opinion the 5.4 had quite a bit more low end torque than 5.3, but ran into a wall in high end horsepower where the chevy had it. I know I’d always destroy my buddies 5.3 off the line then he’d get me be 60 mph. Towing though I would leave him. Glad I don’t own either of those slugs anymore though.

    5. I really could care less about another truck leaving me in the dust when unloaded. I drive like a grandpa to begin with. I just prefer to tow with confidence like I don’t have anything behind me.

    6. I don’t find 21k for a 7 year old F-150 with 146k on the odometer as a “too good to be true” deal. It’s just a SuperCab, and it has high miles and the least desirable engine in it.

      1. Look at the prices for Wranglers. I was just checking 05-06 wranglers as they would be old enough to do a motor swap from my 2006 Liberty CRD, and those things were 14-15k for non-Rubicons with mileages in the 100k’s. From that perspective, the raptor is a hell of a lot more vehicle for the money.

    7. Troverman it isn’t f-150 that is mistake you are making. I would agree with you being if it was f-150. It might be “too good to be true” deal looking at the pics it seems to be pretty good shape. So I think the price might be right. If he sells it right away then the price was right. We will never know though. Maybe if flt reports it.

    8. There is the same exact truck, same color, same miles and a supercab for sale in Virginia 22k.

    9. We had the exact same raptor come through my auction, it sold for $13,000. That was 3 years ago, deal of a lifetime.
