TFLtruck is thankful to be one of the first journalists to drive the 2017 Ford Raptor. The first drive event of the truck starts tomorrow, as a group of automotive journalists are invited to the San Diego, CA area to sample and test their latest off-road pickup truck.

Ford will offer opportunities to drive the new truck on pavement/highways, high-speed desert running, and rock crawling. It’s been a long wait, nearly two years, since the 2017 Raptor concept was unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. TFLtruck has followed the Raptor development with detailed interviews, prototype hunting videos, HP announcement, MPG announcement, price announcement, first ride-along, and more. Now, we have a chance behind the wheel.

We are planning to produce one or more first drive review videos next week, but we want to know what are the most burning questions that you have? We will also have access to Ford Raptor experts at the event, so we can ask them detailed questions.

While we will have first driving impressions and lots of cool video of the truck in the desert and on the rocks, we may not be able to test the truck’s towing ability and real-world MPGs until we get to our HQ in Colorado. That will come a bit later.

Please use the comments section below to let us know your questions. Thanks!

Here is our first ride-along in the 2017 Raptor. We strapped a microphone to the truck to bring you a first listen of the high output EcoBoost V6 dual-exhaust.
