The new 2017 Ford Super Duty will now be available with the STX appearance package. This is the first time Super Duty customers will have the option of choosing the package, which sits between the XL work and XLT trim levels. It is essentially one step up above the base model and includes chrome-laden bumpers & grille, unique aluminum wheels, steering wheel-mounted cruise control, bright hub covers on single rear wheel trucks, an AM/FM stereo with single CD/MP3 player, and of course… an STX fender vent badge.
“STX is for customers who want the utility of an F-Series truck in a stylish, well-optioned package at a competitive price,” said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager.
The package can be had on Super Duty trucks in any cab configuration with either the 6.2L V8 gas engine or the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel. STX Pricing starts at $34,910 for the F-250 and $36,080 for the F-350.
If you’ve no need for a heavy-duty, the half-ton 2017 F-150 will still be available in STX garb, but only on SuperCab or SuperCrew trucks without the base V6. The package for the F-150 includes 20-inch machined-aluminum wheels with dark gray painted pockets, a black billet-style grille with body-color surround and black mesh insert, body-colored front fascia and front and rear bumpers, Ford’s SYNC® 3 with 8-inch center stack touch screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™, privacy glass, black sport cloth seats, fog lamps, driver and passenger lumbar support, and of course… an STX decal.
