Is this a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Single Cab Spied in the Wild?

Thanks to one of our viewers (Omar Amarh) for sending us this video of what appears to be a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Single Cab in heavy camo. For now, the Titan XD is only available as a Crew Cab with four full-size doors. The company has always said the XD will be available in other configurations at the end of this year: including extended King cab and this Single cab.

It is possible that this is a standard light-duty titan, but based on its dimension this does not seem to be the case. The proportions of the hood and fenders both indicate this is the Titan XD Single Cab – essentially a Class 2b truck that’s meant to slot in somewhere between a 1/2-ton and the more powerful 3/4-ton pickups. The wheels are also the same as the recent Titan XD SL trim level tester we recently had. One thing that sticks out  – or rather, doesn’t stick out – are the relatively puny side mirrors. All of the Titan XDs we’ve seen so far have extending towing mirrors.

So far, the company has been tight lipped about other variations of the Titan XD. If it is indeed an XD, it would be a true working man’s truck. The combination of a long bed and optional Cummins V8 diesel would make for a versatile everyday towing and hauling machine… so long as you don’t plan on carpooling much.

The Crew Cab Titan XD starts at $35,290. A new Endurance 5.6L gasoline V8 with 390 hp and 401 lb-ft is standard. The Cummins  adds $5,000 to the sticker price and puts out 310 hp and 555 lb-ft. During a recent MPG test, the Cummins-equipped XD out mileaged the gas V8, but not by as much as you’d think. That video will be coming very soon.

Check out the video below to see the Single Cab driving around near its factory in Tennessee.
