Watch the 2016 TFLtruck Gold Hitch Awards Presentation

Gold-Hitch-buckle

What’s the best towing truck in North America? And what’s the TFL’s Truck of the Year?

These are two great questions that we answered this week at the 2016 TFLtruck Gold Hitch Awards.

One may imagine that the ceremony was a star-studded gala dinner and awards presentation, but (in true TFLtruck fashion) this week’s award ceremony took place at a local Boulder, Colorado micro-brewery. Why? Because trucks and fancy dinners go together like oil and vinegar. We presented the 2016 TFLtruck Gold Hitch Awards in a casual yet fun place to keep it real and trucky.

All nominated 2016 TFLtruck Gold Hitch Awards truck manufacturers came to the big party.  There were six awards on offer, including the very prestigious Truck of the Year Award.

Just about the entire TFLtruck team helped hand out the hand-crafted gold hitch belt buckles. We were so close to getting it all right. So close!

It all went according to plan except for a small but embarrassing mistake in the TFLtruck Off-Road Truck of the year belt buckle.  Can you spot the mistake in the picture above? I immediately apologized to Nick from Ram. Rest assured, that I was properly horrified by the spelling mistake and we are getting this buckle fixed now.

You can watch the entire 2016 TFLtruck Gold Hitch Awards presentation ceremony below, and you can see for yourself which truck won which award HERE.  At the end of the video, there’s even a surprise that I hope you will enjoy. I’ll give you a three word hint: Super Ike Gauntlet!

We’re taking the Ike Gauntlet to an all new level this year. Let me know if you like what we are planning with the Super Ike Gauntlet in the comments below and/or any suggestions to make it better.

Thanks to Nissan, Ram, GMC, Chevy, Toyota and Ford for their support and for letting us test their trucks this year. And a special thanks to TFL readers, viewers and fans for making TFLtruck the place to go to for real word truck reviews and real world testing.
