Do you suppose that 50 years from now this blue double-cab 2016 Chevrolet Silverado will be worth more money because it is the 7 Millionth Pickup Truck built at GM’s Fort Wayne Assembly plant?

Probably not but Lee Adams, owner of Tri-State Compressed Air in Goshen, Indiana sure seems happy to be the new owner of this Silverado.

According to GM Adams, “Adams has purchased more than 50 Chevrolet trucks and vans for his company since 1982.”

That’s probably why he’s the lucky guy to be selected by Chevy to go to the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant and help put the final touches on his new truck.

In their press release GM says that Adams ordered the truck from Tom Naquin Chevrolet in Elkhart, Indiana, however they don’t say why he was selected to be the luck guy to get the GM factory experience.

Thad Naquin, Greg Fink and Tracy McDonald from the dealership, and Bedria Purifoy, Chevrolet district sales manager, accompanied Adams to the plant for a tour and a brief time on the line alongside members of UAW Local 2209.

The production milestone came during a $1.2 billion investment at the facility, where full-size Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks are built.

We figure if you want the royal GM factory truck treatment, you can start planning now, as the 8 millionth pickup truck built is only a few years away.
