5. Chevy Colorado Z71 Trail Boss
The Trail Boss package brings beefy GoodyearWrangler DuraTec M&S off-road tires, wheel flares, side steps, sprayed-in bed liner with cargo organizer, and a few other cosmetic touches. Most of these additions are dealer-installed. And the package on the yellow truck you see above comes in at $3,820. This is a one way to combine several accessories together. The question is: does this package elevate the off-road abilities of the Colorado to the next level or is it mostly for looks?
4. Next generation Ford Super Duty
The next generation of the Super Duty is being eagerly awaited. It will officially debut at the State Fair of Texas on Sep 24th, 2015. We have seen many prototypes testing in the Rocky Mountains, but most specifications and details are still not available. Nathan Adlen got a preview of the new Super Duty lineup, but the information is embargoed until the 24th.
3. 2016 Nissan Titan XD and Cummins
The 2016 Nissan Titan XD is getting close to general availability at the end of the calendar year 2015. We have not driven the truck yet, but got a close look at the construction of the new 5.0-liter V8 Cummins turbo-diesel.
2. Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Turbo-diesels
The GM midsize pickup trucks will be the only offerings of the turbo-diesel in the midsize segment in the United States. These trucks are going on sale within the next couple of months and TFLtruck will have a chance drive the Duramax powered small trucks in October.
1. 2016 Toyota Tacoma
The all-new Tacoma started shipping to the dealerships just about a week ago. The updated truck is generating a lot of interest and discussion, and TFLtruck cannot wait to take the truck off-road and take it on the Ike Gauntlet towing test.
